Tal conjunto de fun\u00e7\u00f5es foi estudado por Joseph Fourier, no s\u00e9culo XIX com o fim de represent\u00e1-lo por meio de uma somat\u00f3ria infinita, em termos de senos e cossenos, baseando-se na periodicidade das fun\u00e7\u00f5es trigonom\u00e9tricas. A consolida\u00e7\u00e3o desse tratamento matem\u00e1tico, rendeu aplica\u00e7\u00f5es nos mais variados ramos da F\u00edsica, em especial na Termodin\u00e2mica, com a elabora\u00e7\u00e3o de uma express\u00e3o alg\u00e9brica espec\u00edfica para a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o do calor em determinados materiais. Neste artigo, vamos estudar o conceito da propaga\u00e7\u00e3o da energia t\u00e9rmica e apresentar uma maneira de deduzir a equa\u00e7\u00e3o diferencial parcial que descreve a propaga\u00e7\u00e3o do calor para um s\u00f3lido isotr\u00f3pico e homog\u00eaneo. <br \/><strong>Palavras-chave:<\/strong> Fourier, Energia T\u00e9rmica, Dedu\u00e7\u00e3o, Equa\u00e7\u00e3o do Calor.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em><strong>Abstract: <\/strong>The wave perturbations that are observed in a considerable range of physical phenomena, such as mechanical waves (propagation of sound, ripples on the surface of a lake) and electromagnetic fields (radio and television frequencies), are typical systems that can be described mathematically through periodic functions. Such a set of functions was studied by Joseph Fourier, in the 19th century, with the goal of representing it by means of an infinite sum, in terms of sines and cosines, based on the periodicity of trigonometric functions. The consolidation of this mathematical treatment yielded applications in the most varied branches of physics, especially in Thermodynamics, with the elaboration of a specific algebraic expression for the propagation of heat in certain materials.
