A discuss\u00e3o do espa\u00e7o-tempo como objeto qu\u00e2ntico d\u00e1 in\u00edcio ao desenvolvimento de uma teoria alternativa promissora para a unifica\u00e7\u00e3o da relatividade geral e a mec\u00e2nica qu\u00e2ntica. Introduzimos as principais ideias pelos cientistas sobre o conceito de espa\u00e7o-tempo e desenvolvemos a considera\u00e7\u00e3o da teoria pela configura\u00e7\u00e3o geom\u00e9trica da relatividade geral e a rela\u00e7\u00e3o dos operadores qu\u00e2nticos da mec\u00e2nica qu\u00e2ntica, buscando atrav\u00e9s das quantidades como comprimento, \u00e1rea e volume, operadores essenciais para a descri\u00e7\u00e3o da estrutura granular do espa\u00e7o- tempo, tendo em vista o objetivo de quantizar a geometria dessa estrutura. \r\n<br \/><strong>Palavras-chave:<\/strong> Espa\u00e7o-tempo, Quantiza\u00e7\u00e3o, Gravidade, Geometria. <\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-small-font-size\"><em><strong>Abstract: <\/strong>The work approaches in an introductory way the aspects of the quantization of space-time in the context of loop quantum gravity. The discussion of space-time as a quantum object begins the development of a promising alternative theory for the unification of general relativity and quantum mechanics.
